Never willingly unemployed, Michael has earned his living as a jobbing actor since his late twenties, on film, TV, in theater, on radio and as a voice actor. It all started when performing with elephants in a Swedish circus and on to New York where he trained with Lee Strasburg; theater life with La Mamma; a few episodes of Kojak and Sesame Street, and on to more training at LAMDA in London. Repertory theaters; a stint in the West End and tours around the UK; movies including Highlander, Return of the Jedi, Santa Claus the Movie. Most recently, Judge John Deed and Waking the Dead for the BBC … a year of Crossroads for ITV … many happy BBC radio dramas and corporate presentations. Narrations for BBC Wildlife, Discovery and National Geographic, and loads of fun animation characters and voice dubbing/lip syncing … several recent ‘nasties’ in Power Rangers and many, many commercials for all medias. He has his own professional sound studio from where he voices, produces, directs and coaches ... and makes the tea.
